February 2018 Calendar and our Month for Exploration

February is the month for us to explore... maybe a new skill, new flavours, new places. What are you exploring this year?

February 2018 is brought to you by the word, EXPLORE!  What better way to lift those January greys and rains (especially here in deepest darkest suburbia), than by getting out (or staying in) and exploring! It’s our month here at Vanilla Beige to look into soooooo many different things. To really explore what we can do this year. There are new flavours to taste, new skills to learn, new places to be! What sorts of things are you exploring this year?

In deepest darkest suburbia

For me, let me just say it now… I’ve never been the stay at home sort. I get ”itchy feet” and all! But why would I want to? There’s so much to see, do or revisit. Do I have a list of places to explore this month, a new café to try out, a must visit restaurant? You bet I do! Last year I started calligraphy and this year, I’m tasting raw cookie dough – not home made or anything. From a shop. They sell raw cookie dough in a tub from a shop… I would never have found this if I hadn’t gone out and explored further beyond deepest darkest suburbia!

In Singapore

And then there’s Angela, our editor in Singapore. She’s no home body either but she also relishes time staying in too. Our many WhatsApp conversations often reveal something new she’s exploring… bullet journalling, chocolate tasting or relearning how to draw on a Wacom tablet or use a camera.

What can we say… Let February be your month to explore somewhere new or revisit somewhere familiar.
