An invitation to a T2 Tea launch is always not to be missed. This time around we were invited to the launch of their Christmas 2017 Collection. What can I say… I’m in love. But you already knew about our love for tea, tea makers and tea-aristas with all our tea stories.
This year, T2 unveiled gorgeous, botanical-inspired tea gift sets. From limited edition teaware and feature teas to their cute little mini tea packs. It was almost all I could do not to put every item into my basket and take them home with me. I doubt they would have made it to their intended recipients though. I would keep them all!
Feature teas for the season
Delicious. In a word, that’s what they are. This year they have Paradise Punch (a creamy banana strawberry combo) and though I really hate banana, in this tea, it is not so bad. My favourite, though, is their Mulled Wine Magic which reminds me of a cold winter night in the snowy mountains of Australia where we found a place serving mulled wine straight out of a huge black pot that sat on an open fire. Bliss! Luckily, I won a tin of this special tea in their lucky Advent Calendar draw.
Beautiful botanical T2 teaware
I have always had a thing for pretty teacups and fine china. I suppose that’s the nanna in me coming out but I think tea tastes better when drunk from exquisite teaware.
The T2 collection for the season is just stunning. They have a limited edition Collectable Cup and Saucer ($150) by illustrator Katie Scott that comes in a box set. It is too sweet to pass over. However, anything with their Luscious Goes Leafy design is what I would like under my tree for me.
Mini T2 teas and T2 tea gift packs
For 2017, their special blend of T2 Christmas Breakfast ($30) is available in a box of 25 tea bags. It’s a special gingerbread brew, full of beautiful spices like ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Perfect, even for a “winter” in Singapore.
Also available are cute little stocking stuffers ($10), so prettily packaged in mini boxes the shapes of star, pineapple and flower blossom. These are with exquisite loose leaf teas. Don’t you think they would be fantastic in a stocking?
There is so much more at the T2 store. If you drop in, be sure and try one of the brews that they have in store for tasting. They will usually have a hot and a cold option for you. Yes, I am usually the greedy guts that will ask to try both. But they never seem to mind because everyone there is just so helpful and nice… maybe this comes from drinking so much tea.
